Maple Ridge Christian School - A Case Study

“Hearts. Minds. Transformed.” — Bringing a School’s Story to Life

The Goal: Promotional Video and Virtual Tour

The Challenge

Maple Ridge Christian School needed a promotional video and virtual tour that could:

  • Reflect their unique faith-driven mission and welcoming community

  • Attract new families — including international students

  • Show off recent campus renovations in a way that felt warm, modern, and real

  • Do all of this in under 3 minutes

They wanted something genuine, not salesy. Something cinematic, but rooted in heart.

Our Approach

We focused on story-first filmmaking. Rather than cramming every program and stat into one video, we built a narrative arc around lived student experiences.

Our approach included:

  • 5 interviews from students and alumni across different grade levels

  • Carefully planned b-roll capturing authentic classroom moments, chapel, events, and recess life

  • A separate, stylized virtual tour walking viewers through the upgraded campus

  • A surprise athletics sizzle reel created as a bonus piece of content

We worked closely with Clarissa Yap (Media & Communications) to schedule shoot days, capture the right voices, and ensure every part of the community felt seen.

Deliverables

  • 3-minute Promotional Video

  • 1.5-minute Virtual Tour

  • Bonus Athletics Sizzle Video

  • One video testimonial from school leadership

The Impact

  • Used on MRCS homepage and admissions materials

  • Featured on social media and open house events

  • Shared directly with international applicant families

  • Emotional response from staff and students during first viewings

The Result

The finished videos give MRCS a set of professional, versatile tools to showcase their community, values, and campus in a way that feels authentic and inviting. The promotional video captures the school’s unique spirit through personal stories and vibrant visuals, while the virtual tour offers an accessible look at the facilities for families both local and abroad.

For the coming school year, the plan is to have the videos integrated into MRCS’s website, admissions materials, and social media channels, helping them connect with prospective families and reinforce the strength of their community message.
